Parish Council
The Parish Pastoral Council is an organization consisting of 15 parishioners, 10 elected by the people of the parish and 5 appointed by the Pastor for a term of 3 years. It advises and assists the Pastor in spiritual and temporal aspects of parish life. One of its primary responsibilities is to provide an orderly and efficient channel of communication between the members of the Parish and the Pastor. In 1987, it was restructured into 5 Missions with defined areas of responsibility each to be the conduit between the parishioners and the Pastor in the specified areas. The charter of each Mission is described below along with its council members and contact information. All parishioners are invited to direct any questions, comments, suggestions or recommendations concerning Parish life to the members of the Mission. The Council encourages this participation to facilitate the fuller utilization of the variety of gifts among our parishioners. All Council meetings are announced in the bulletin and are open to the general parish. Please take advantage of these opportunities to participate in the operation of your parish.

254-3084MISSION OF LITURGY AND WORSHIP
This Mission concerns itself with the church as the visible sign of Christ’s presence in our midst. It views the parish as the place where Christ’s love appears most clearly and reconciles the people of God to one another. Christ is the “sacrament” of God’s saving love and the Church’s system of signs and symbols is, in turn, what makes Christ’s presence manifest. The Mission of Liturgy and Worship of our Parish Pastoral Council includes the following areas: Liturgy (Liturgical Ministers), Parish Renewal, Prayer Groups, Interfaith Worship, Vocations/Lay Ministries.
