General Purpose: To plan and review all financial matters of the parish.
The Parish Finance Committee consists of nine members appointed by the pastor. Each spring a budget, including income goals, is prepared for the operation of the church, religious education programs, and school assessments.
The committee meets to compare results with the budget, to direct the annual Stewardship recommitment, and to oversee the Lenten Appeal. Annual reports are submitted to the parish and the diocese.
THE STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE, TIME AND TALENT
General Purpose: To evaluate and share our manifold blessings through the community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish has established a program of Stewardship of Treasure, Time and Talent.
The Stewardship of Treasure calls for us to share proportionately our possessions in the service of God for the benefit of all.
The Stewardship of Time calls for us to consider volunteering our time to assist with parish activities and programs.
The Stewardship of Talent calls on us to share our gifts of talents, dedicating them to the service of the Lord through service to our Church in every way possible.
General Purpose: To provide assistance for the many needs and institutions operated by the diocese.
The Bishop's Annual Lenten Appeal is a diocesan fund-raising program that establishes an assessed goal for each parish and requires solicitation of a pledge or contribution from each family in the parish. The pastor appoints a chairman who, together with two assistant chairpersons and a large team of volunteers, conducts the appeal in the parish.
General Purpose: To assist the pastor with the Sunday collection.
A group of parishioners appointed by the pastor counts, records, and deposits the weekly collection each Sunday morning.
