Stewardship Campaign
Dear Parishioner:
We are conducting our annual Stewardship Recommitment and are asking you to pray and reflect on the many blessings God has bestowed on you and to base your recommitment on those blessings.
Our Christian life calls on us to share proportionately our material possessions in the service of God for the benefit of all humankind. Our guide in this is the Bible which teaches us that the best way to share is by tithing. In our Diocese the tithe is divided so that at least 5% goes to the support of your parish, 1% to the Bishop’s Lenten Appeal after the new year begins, and the remaining 4% for all other Christian giving including second collections.
Your response to Stewardship Recommitment in the past has been heartening. It has enabled us to pay all our bills, to operate efficiently, and more recently to pay for our building expansion project. Now, as more costs are incurred due to an expanded facility, I ask you to re-examine the effort you have made. Proper Stewardship will enable us to continue operating on a sound basis, thereby taking care of operational and maintenance costs.
Before you fill it out I ask you prayerfully to consider all that God has given you and how you might best share it in a way that will reflect His honor and glory. I know that he will reward you for your generosity!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. Msgr. William J. King,
